Cook Literacy Model School is asking Paisley Alumni members to please volunteer in the following areas
The Food Pantry – Your time will be spent here helping the Cook School parents shop for groceries and helping them to their cars with packages. Volunteer times are from 9:00 am to 10:00 am, or 9:00 am to 11:00 am twice a month.
PBIS (Positive Behavior Intervention System) Store – Your time here will be spent helping students shop for prizes using “pride dollars” they have earned for good behavior. Volunteer time is one hour once a month starting at 9:00 am.
Watch Dog – Your time will be spent here with one or two students in the classroom and in special classes (art, music, media). Most likely these will be male students. You can have lunch with the students if you wish. You will have the choice of staying a half-day or the entire-day.
Fifth grade teachers are asking your help in putting weekly packets together, and assisting in other clerical duties. Anytime during the day will be helpful.
There is a very easy online application that you will need to complete in order to volunteer. The contact person to call is Ms. Ramona Brooks. Her number is (336) 575 – 0148. She is looking forward to hearing from you.
