The Paisley Alumni received a thank you letter from Samaritan Ministries for our large donation in their Penny Drive.
A Valentine basket filled with goodies was delivered to Paisley Middle School on February 14, 2019 at 9:40am by Delores McGregor and Ray Ledbetter. Monogramed ballpoint pens were also given out to the Paisley faculty from the alumni. The Valentine basket was placed in the Teacher’s Lounge.
SECU Family House:
The SECU Family House is for patients and/or their family members and caregivers. The Family House serves families from Wake Forest Baptist Medical Center, Novant Health Forsyth Medical Center, and Kate B. Reynolds Hospice Home.
Our March Project is collecting items from The SECU Family House Top Ten Wish List.
These items include:
Travel size toiletries
Cereal and paper bowls
Paper towels
Individual portioned snacks
Plastic cups (12 ounces)
Hand soap
Puzzle books
Tea, hot chocolate and powdered lemonade
Hot cups (12 ounces)
Toilet paper
Proctoring at Kimberley Park School:

Paisley Alumni collected pennies during the month of November for the Penny Campaign in support of The Samaritan Kitchen. The alumni filled six containers with pennies.The pennies will go toward feeding the homeless in Winston-Salem. The project was a huge success. Pictured are Delores McGregor, Community Service chair for Paisley alumni, and Lanie Pope, spokesperson for the Samaritan Kitchen penny drive. She is also chief meteorologist for WXII. Delores would like to thank all the alumni members who donated to our first penny drive. Also, a thank you to everyone who placed coins in our containers.
Cook Literacy Model School is asking Paisley Alumni members to please volunteer in the following areas
The Food Pantry – Your time will be spent here helping the Cook School parents shop for groceries and helping them to their cars with packages. Volunteer times are from 9:00 am to 10:00 am, or 9:00 am to 11:00 am twice a month.
PBIS (Positive Behavior Intervention System) Store – Your time here will be spent helping students shop for prizes using “pride dollars” they have earned for good behavior. Volunteer time is one hour once a month starting at 9:00 am.
Watch Dog – Your time will be spent here with one or two students in the classroom and in special classes (art, music, media). Most likely these will be male students. You can have lunch with the students if you wish. You will have the choice of staying a half-day or the entire-day.
Fifth grade teachers are asking your help in putting weekly packets together, and assisting in other clerical duties. Anytime during the day will be helpful.
